Prof. Gorio was Scientific Chief of the Italian National Program on Spinal Cord Injury. He is also Director of Clinical Pharmacology IRCCS Humanitas and of the Department of Surgical Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Milan. She has received exceptional grants from the military for her contributions to improving the diagnosis and treatment of spinal cord injuries, disability assessment, rehabilitation training (development of the Kunming walking method and the Kunming locomotor ladder) and the care and treatment of complications in spinal cord injuries.

Dr Patrick Decherchi

Lecturer-Researcher, director of the "Plasticity of Nervous and Muscular Systems" team (UMR CNRS 6233) at the University of the Mediterranean (Aix-Marseille II). Prof. Decherchi carried out a preclinical study in Marseille which aimed to show the regrowth of nerve fibers in NEUROGEL ™. This study also combined NEUROGEL ™ with a cytokine, erythropoietin, better known as EPO, a key factor in central nervous system regeneration.
